Now, first off, I want to say, I'm sure some dudes can relate to this post too, but it's directed towards girls because that's where it runs more rampant.
I've been thinking about it lately and I've realized that a lot of women, as a whole, are complete, total...
Especially to other girls who they consider 'fat' or 'ugly' or even 'less smart' and I'm here to tell you, we are ALL equals. There's this saying that goes, "Tell a girl she's beautiful, she'll believe it for a moment. Tell a girl she's ugly, and she'll believe it forever,".
There's that rhyme as well about sticks and stones and it is a total lie. I mean... yeesh. Words can't hurt you? Maybe you just don't have feelings then. The right words (well, wrong, but you know what I mean) can make anyone upset.
Maybe if we, women as a whole, starting encouraging other women (and men too) and started realizing- and fixing- the flaws in ourselves before telling anyone else theirs, we might be more apt to understand that NO ONE IS PERFECT.
For example, I've seen women on Instagram and Facebook who comment on each others posts and on celebrity's post and they just tear each other apart. "Too much make up," or "too little make up," or "get a nose job," or even just, "u ugly," (also, fix your spelling and grammar, girl,).
Instead of saying those things, say things you like about them. "You're an inspiration," or "I love your hair!" or "Your eyes are beautiful,". It doesn't have to be huge or profound, just a little something to make them smile. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.
However, everyone is worth it. You are worth it. Never, ever, ever let anyone tell you otherwise, okay?
Here, have a song:
Love you Stars.
